Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis (8DTOPS)

This course meets the requirements of SAE ARP 9136 Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving

Three Days

The 8D Problem Solving Process Tools Workshop provides the skills and knowledge for solving problems by using the Global 8D industry standard model.

This workshop provides an emphasis on the practical use of common problem-solving tools.

The presentation includes technical concepts, classroom discussion, and hands-on exercises. Teams of participants will perform the hands-on practical exercises which allow the participants to take the theories and practice them in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Other proprietary and company-specific case studies and documentation can be incorporated into the training when appropriate (In House Presentations).

Who Should Attend?

Personnel involved in problem solving with emphasis on team problem solving those involved in customer liaison as regards problem solving and likely team members. Team leaders supervisors who wish to improve problem solving skills.

Course Objective:

At the end of this workshop, the participants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead or participate in a team-oriented problem solving effort, using a time-proven structured problem solving strategy (the 8D method) that gets results by:

*     Solving problems by finding real root causes

*     Taking action that permanently removes the problem

Enabling objectives: To achieve the terminal objective, the participants will learn to:

Choose and verify and implement permanent corrective actions

This course is aligned to both the AIAG and the VDA Volume 4 Requirements

 Delegates Receive a H & M Certificate on successful completion of a forty five minute multiple-choice examination,  competent mark is 60%.
